Are workplaces working?

For five years Leesman has measured just one thing, just one way: how workplaces support the work of the employees they accommodate. The Leesman Index has gathered data from over 1200 corporate workplaces and now has over 100,000 lines of data, resulting in the largest collection of workplace effectiveness data in the world. Our data offers an unrivalled opportunity to examine and understand the role of workplace in business performance and how it can be used as a tool for competitive advantage.
In 2010 Leesman set out with a singular objective – to examine at a depth and consistency never before attempted, exactly how corporate workplaces support organisational performance. Our standardised activity analysis technique quickly maps how employees are interacting with the environments and infrastructure provided for them. With over 135,000 employee responses received from over 1200 workplaces in 50 countries, we can benchmark every single line of results against any part of the largest global collection of workplace performance data available.

Most organisations have a thorough understanding of the costs incurred operating their workplaces and many have moved to have a better reporting of the utilisation, but Leesman brings a third and arguably more important dimension: how workplaces support employees deliver corporate objectives.

In June 2015 the Leesman Index passed 100,000 respondents establishing it as the world's leading authority on workplace effectiveness. Tim Oldman and Dr Peggie Rothe will provide an in-depth examination of the data that will challenge thinking and inspire ideas as we continue to uncover the constituent parts of high performance buildings.
